Or, if you are more interested in learning about the local history of the area surrounding Revelstoke, there is the Roger's Pass Discovery Centre. Selkirk-Tangiers Helicopter Skiing may be just what you're looking for! Their guides will prepare you for the extreme skiing conditions that can only be reached by helicopter. The Begbie summit trail is one of the more spectacular in the Revelstoke area. The summit trail takes you up to the tree line (5-7 hours with pack) after which hikers must walk across open rock to the toe of the glacier (45 minutes approx). Once on the glacier, climbers make their way to a ledge which gives access to the ridge leading to the summit.
